Earlier in 2015 one of the World’s largest company – Google promised to provide Google Wifi at 400 Indian Railway Stations in near future. This year in January Google started its journey by introducing its first Wifi service at Mumbai – Chhatrapati Shivaji Terminus. Which is now being used by more than half a million railway commuters every month since then.
Adding Google Wifi to 9 more railway stations…
Recently Google has added 9 more Indian Railway stations to Google Wifi list. Those 9 Stations are in cities mentioned below.
- Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh)
- Bhuvaneshwar (Orrisa)
- Ernakulam Junction (Kerala)
- Kacheguda (Hyderabad)
- Pune (Maharashtra)
- Raipur (Chhattisgarh)
- Ranchi (Jharkhand)
- Vijayawada (Andhra Pradesh)
- Vishakhapatnam (Andra Pradesh)
So if you are travelling/crossing from any of these railway station then don’t forget to connect to the wifi and enjoy internet at its best.
Further more the target is of 90 more stations by year end…
Now with Google Wifi already established at 10 Indian Railway stations the company has target to install its wifi services at 90 more Indian railway stations by year end in order to complete a total of 100 stations out of the 400 that were promised.
Now you must be willing to know which are those 90 railway station?…Right?
Well we have a guessing game for you, Google India has provided the Map specifying the stations at which the wifi has already been installed and the rest pointers indicate the rest 90 target stations to be achieved by 2016 year end.
So who likes to travel by trains hmm? Well me ofcourse. And now Train travel would get even more exciting by getting access to internet every where even while travelling by trains in India.
