Now we have decided to compare the very popular Samsung Galaxy J7 with it’s new Battery Rival the Asus Zenfone 3 Max and see who wins this match. We’ll be comparing both these devices edge on edge on some crucial point factors and see how well do they perform.
Let’s Start without wasting any more time.
1st Parameter – Design and Looks
Well on the Design and looks factor both the devices have a premium metallic build quality. The Samsung Galaxy J7 has a Polycarbonate body while Asus claims to have given the Zenfone 3 Max an Aircraft grade Aluminium Alloy.
Also, the Zenfone 3 Max fits better in hand while the Galaxy J7 feels a bit bigger while both of them have the same screen size (i.e. 5.5 inches).
Winner – Asus Zenfone 3 Max
2nd Parameter – Performance
When talking about performance, both these devices have the Snapdragon Qualcomm chipset. The Galaxy J7 has Snapdragon 617 Octa-core Chipset clocked at 1.6GHz, while the Zenfone 3 Max has the new Snapdragon 430 Octa-core Chipset clocked at 1.4GHz.
Well, just to simplify things for you guys, the Snapdragon 617 was the Octa-Core chipset from Snapdragon meant to consume less power and generate less heat. While the Snapdragon 430 was meant to be a budget range Octa-Core processor for the entry level smartphones (i.e.it’s present there in the Redmi 3S and the newly launched Redmi 4A).
Here, the Galaxy J7 scored 49,094 on the AnTuTu 6 Benchmarks while the Zenfone 3 Max scored 43,957.
We would say that Asus is definitely over-charging for the under-rated processor when comes to its competitors.
Winner – Samsung Galaxy J7
Final Parameter – Battery
Our final Parameter for comparing both these devices is their battery performance. Well here, the Galaxy J7 had a 3300mAh Removable battery while the Zenfone 3 Max had the 4100mAh Non-Removable battery.
Although both of these devices performed at par in all of our battery test and lasted for almost the similar duration. But we believe that this happened only because the Galaxy J7 was having 3300mAh battery, had it had a 4100mAh battery coupled with it highly power efficient Snapdragon 617 Chipset. It could have performed way better than the Zenfone 3 Max.
Also, Removable battery at this price point is a plus.
Winner – Samsung Galaxy J7
My final comments would be that both of these are great devices, but I personally believe that the Asus Zenfone 3 Max is marginally overpriced. The features that the Zenfone 3 Max is offering at a price point of almost 15k, Xiaomi’s been offering that at 9k with its Redmi 3S Prime.
So my recommendation to Asus would be that -“Guys it’s, time to think of the pricing policies. Building great devices is one thing, but grabbing the consumers is another.”
So the overall winner of today’s battle is the Samsung Galaxy J7 with a score of 2 out of 3.
